Following each short screening, there will be the opportunity to have a brief discussion. The shorts being presented cover a number of issues including: poverty, cultural diversity in Dublin and the Chernobyl disaster. In contrast, we will also have some fun with films dealing with meditation, fitting in, risk of going abroad by sea, Inter city view of Dublin and never giving up. This selection of shorts demonstrate great skills in Irish film, documentary and animation today. A number of the filmmakers may be present.
Founded before 1233, Adam and Eve’s has taken on a number of very different aspects. The Merchants Quay Ireland project includes two very active ministries directed towards the poor and needy in the centre-city area. One element is a specialized ministry to drug-users. The other is a ministry to the poor and especially the homeless, giving them food and advice.
