A Dolphin’s Gift tells the story of Fungi, a friendly bottlenose dolphin that lives at the mouth of Dingle harbour, Co Kerry, off the south west coast of Ireland. This is an extraordinary tale of a wild dolphin and the unique relationships which have developed between Fungi and those who have come into contact with him. To the inhabitants of the Dingle Peninsula, Fungi is their dolphin. Quite simply, he has changed many of their lives. For though he could leave at any time, Fungi chooses to stay in Dingle Bay, his gentle charm and fun-loving nature win him friends from far and wide. Shot in the autumn of 1990, it remains timeless and compelling viewing.
